Meet the Regional Manager
Medellin native Juan spent many years working with well-known hotel chains and in entertainment before joining Remote Year in 2017. He’s an expert in nearly all things Latin America, and as manager of the region, he enjoys helping immerse participants in Latin culture and language. In fact, he’s a self-proclaimed language “nerd,” fluent in 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, & German) and at basic/proficient level in 3 others (Portuguese, Italian & Mandarin).
Your new home is now Maderas. We like to call it paradise.
Break out your flip flops and settle into life in Maderas. Our accommodations in this surf town are colorful, tropical, and comfortable. The best part? They’re just a 15-minute walk from the beach. You’ll have access to communal spaces like a shared kitchen and restaurant as well as the option to choose between a private room or shared dorm. The base price for this Trip is based on the standard private room.
