Remote Year Tracks™ are unique, culturally-significant experiences, carefully curated for you by the Remote Year City Teams. Remote Year Tracks™ are events that only exist on Remote Year and are intended to take your travel experience a level deeper than your average tourist.
From an intimate meal and Fado singing with Portuguese locals to learning the symbolism behind and testing your hand at traditional Japanese Taiko drumming. These are the “I-can’t-believe-this -is -my-life” moments.
Track events are built out to have you stepping out of your normal routine, interacting with, learning from and befriending locals in each Remote Year city. You’ll leave each event with a sense of understanding, empathy, and renewed curiosity about real life in different cultures. One full day track event is included in your Remote Year experience monthly, with the option to add on other local experiences if you choose through the Remote Year Marketplace.
Sought out and planned by our local City Teams in each RY location, Track Events are curated with a special Remote Year twist, ensuring an experience you’ll never be able to replicate as a normal tourist in these destinations.
Tracks are amazing! I honestly don’t know how they find some of these experience because they are freakin dope. My personally favorite was the Taiko drumming track in Kyoto where we got to bang on HUGE drums and learned the ancient art of Japanese drumming from a master. It’s was So. Much. Fun!
