Remote Beginnings is Remote Year’s newest offering and is a hands on, guided process aimed to help kick-start your remote job search and support you as you make the leap into location independence.
Secure your spot on Remote Beginnings by paying the course fee of $1000. If you decide to join an Itinerary Program in addition to the course, this $1000 can be used towards the cost of the down payment required to join an Itinerary Program. Your Program Consultant will work with you to determine the best fit for you.
Once you’re signed up, our Remote Beginnings Team will be in contact with you within 48 hours to get you started. The team will work with you to plan the course workload around a schedule that works best for you, while holding you accountable to the timeline you set for yourself.
This is not a one size fits all experience. Our team of Remote experts will be working with you along the way, setting you up with a personalized action plan based on your career goals, experience and timeline. You will also have the support and motivation from the Remote Beginning’s community of job seekers.
Created by Remote Year’s team of remote work & HR experts, Remote Beginnings will guide you through a step-by-step course, with 1on1 touch points, that will help you better define your job search, revamp your resume, perfect your interview abilities and set attainable goals, putting you on the path to landing that remote job you’ve been dreaming about.
Within the first few weeks, our team will have you tackling some of the key pieces that usually prevent people from searching for a new job like deciding what types of roles are a good fit, updating your resume, figuring out where to search for jobs, preparing for interviews and much more. Once you are feeling confident about what you are searching for and have a plan in place, the Remote Beginnings Team will work to keep you motivated, excited and hold you accountable all the way up to your RY program departure.
Finding a new job can be hard work and requires time and dedication! Our team will be there to guide, support and motivate you, but in the end you are the responsible for your success. Throughout the process, you will be required to put a lot of time into your job search. Think of this like you’re buying a gym membership. If you don’t put in the work, you’ll never see results. We provide the support, structure, and resources to find remote work but you are the one doing the work! Below is the commitment we ask from you:

No, this is a non-refundable payment to join Remote Beginnings.
The Remote Beginnings team will work with you leading up to your program to help keep you on track- so be sure to flag any issues you may have with your current program! We will offer 1 free program transfer for all Remote Beginnings participants, 90 days before their program starts. We will continue to support you in your job search and have full confidence in your ability to find remote work, however there is no guarantee.
Remote Year is not a staffing agency, but we have been operating in the remote work space for 5 years now and will share our favorite remote-specific work search websites and recommend many companies who hire remotely.
While Remote Beginnings is mainly focused on helping you find a full-time remote role, some of our Remote Year participants have gone down the path of finding sustainable freelance or consultant work. We have many recommendations on where to find freelance gigs or how to work your existing network, however Remote Beginnings is not a step by step process on how to create a freelance business.
