DESCRIPTION
In Lisbon, the presence of immigrants - mainly from Portuguese former colonies like Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde - is a fundamental part of the city's life. Food is an important aspect of this cultural mix, and to feel it we will be tasting one of the most famous dishes in the Portuguese-speaking world: feijoada!
During the lunch, we’ll have a conversation with Chef Rei about his experience working with Afro-Brazilian cuisine and the history of the feijoada. In his restaurant in Lisbon - inspired by his familiar tradition and his contact with different recipes from the African diaspora around the world - his objective is to show that food is a powerful way to socially and culturally connect people.
